Company Profile
Company Overview
The Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission (NWIFC) is a support service organization for the Western Washington Indian tribes with treaty-based fishing rights pursuant to US v. Washington. The NWIFC has three primary purposes. First, we provide services to those tribes and tribal organizations who express a need for such services, when such services can best be provided by a central coordinating body. Second, we serve as a central clearinghouse for information and data in the areas of public relations, fisheries management, environmental protection, enhancement planning, enforcement coordination, and political developments. Third, we act as a forum to express, communicate and resolve the issues and concerns identified by the member tribes of the NWIFC.
